In reply to <a href="https://rhapsodyinprose.com/right-and-re-write-to-get-it-write/#comment-82">Joy Healey</a>.

Hi, Joy,

I did think about our exchange on this topic as I wrote this yesterday. Also, I worried that it would have mistakes in it, which would erase my message completely! Probably edited this post more than I have any other!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello again Mialei,

I really agree with you on this one!

Sometimes I visit blogs where the author has obviously spent hours, maybe even days, putting together an informative article - but the writing style is so poor as to be unreadable. Such a shame.

I know that for many bloggers, English is not their first language. But if they are blogging for English readers they should take the trouble to produce grammatical and easy-to-read English. Most do - but some do not!

It's not for MY benefit, it's for their own benefit - because if a site doesn't make sense, why would a reader waste time trying to understand it when there are so many other well-written sites on similar topics?

The only other tip I would add is to check that all links are working, and to include a Broken Link checker plugin.

Enjoy the rest of your week, Joy
